Electrical Engineer

The role of Electrical Engineer is an exciting and diverse opportunity to help drive our successful company’s rapid growth and be a contributing and instrumental member of an experienced Production Engineering team. Our award winning company is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Production Engineering Department to develop, verify, and maintain the electrical design of our advanced filling solutions. This position involves close interaction with planning, quality, research and development, mechanical engineering, control systems engineering and manufacturing teams. Exceptional communication skills, technical competency and problem solving skills are key requirements for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed designs of complete electrical systems including AC and DC low voltage electrical circuits (24VDC and below, 600VAC and below)
  • Evaluate, specify, and select all circuit components (from AC drives down to cable connectors and wire ferrules)
  • Development of detailed layouts, bill of materials, and installation instructions for all electrical hardware including electrical panels, cable harnesses, and analog and digital sensor wiring
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuit designs including hardware failure, signal integrity, and safety issues
  • Review and optimization of designs for quality, manufacturability and code compliance
  • Maintain accurate design and verification documents
  • Support the production team, control systems engineers, and service groups during building, testing, and field operation
  • Support R&D prototype development
  • Support Vanrx’s Service team
  • Contributes to the overall success of the company by accomplishing related results where required.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in AutoCAD and/or Solidworks Electrical is required
  • 5 years+ of experience in Electrical Engineering with a post-secondary engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with developing and maintaining design documentation throughout a product’s lifecycle
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical distribution and control systems
  • Flexible, self starter, and able to work in teams in a fast paced environment
