Manufacturing Engineering Technologist

Our award winning company is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technologist to support our manufacturing operations. You are capable of developing assembly work instructions, triaging manufacturing issues and implementing process changes. You will use your expertise in lean manufacturing to identify improvement opportunities and technical knowledge to make good decisions to ensure manufacturing safety, quality, delivery and cost targets are met.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions and SOPs
  • Provide manufacturing support including investigation, analysis and troubleshooting to support root cause investigation and resolution of issues.
  • Support the rework of non-conforming materials using controlled processes
  • Promote and support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiative in manufacturing and its connect departments.
  • Perform ERP tasks to ensure accuracy of work order and system information.
  • Adhere to and provide active support to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide remote production support outside of core hours as required.
  • Support other key company initiatives as required.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience working with 2D and 3D CAD.
  • Experience working with-in an ERP.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in safe work practices.
  • Experience working with-in a collaborative deadline driven team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in highly regulated environments such as pharma, medical and aviation is an asset.
