Planning Coordinator

Our award winning company is currently seeking a Planning Coordinator with specialized ability to handle the coordination of material flow and parts allocation for system builds. This position requires day to day management of Work Orders, ERP Master data and ERP transactions as required. Internally, you will work closely with our Quality and Operations teams.

  • Coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.
  • Perform ERP transactions.
  • Prepare and maintain shortage lists with regards to the build plans.
  • Create Sub-contract orders based on input from planners.
  • Identify problems and help improve processes.
  • Assist Planning team with day to day tasks that require ERP inputs.
  • Gather inputs from key project stakeholders.
  • Monitor production status and raise up concerns to the planning team for any potential delays during the build.
  • Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
  • Work with Warehouse, Procurement and QC in identifying shortages and making sure parts arrive time and notify affected parties for the impact of the delay that might affect schedule.
  • Collaborate with quality control, manufacturing engineering, procurement, warehouse, quality and other stakeholders.
  • Assist Item Master in managing ERP data.
  • Create Sub-contract IPN’s and BOM in ERP.
  • Know-how in creating and managing Work Orders.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 1-3 years experience in Data Entry in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize material movement on manufacturing builds pertaining to commercial schedule.
  • Ability to organize, track and multi-task.
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.
  • Self-directed with a sense of urgency
  • A self-starter and a team player.
  • Performing such duties, functions and responsibilities as assigned by Vanrx.
