Quality Control Associate

Our award winning company is currently seeking a Quality Control Associate. This position requires routine interaction with engineering, operations and warehouse personnel to ensure day-to day activities are on schedule. Responsibilities

  • Inspect finished fabricated mechanical components to ensure conformance with Vanrx specifications.
  • Manage non-conformance processes, communication, and quality events with Vanrx purchasing, engineering and suppliers.
  • Participate in ISO9001 certification undertaking for the company.
  • Participate in calibration, maintenance and storage of measurement instruments, torque tools, and calibration records.
  • Ensure day-to-day activities are performed in compliance of the safety program.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, such as implementing new processes and equipment.
  • Contribute and foster an environment which encourages, supports, and recognizes new ideas and initiatives.
  • Support other departments as needed; performing such other duties, functions, and responsibilities as assigned by Vanrx.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Relevant education and 3+ years work experience; including demonstrated mechanical component knowledge and aptitude.
  • A high attention to detail approach in performing work, a strong ability to successfully work in teams and effectively work independently.
  • Operate CMM, Polyworks Inspector experience an asset.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
