Vanrx Pharmasystems’ Microcell Vial Filler has been recognized as one of the 16 innovation award winners by industry magazine, The Medicine Maker.

The Medicine Maker Innovation Awards recognize “the most groundbreaking drug development and manufacturing technologies released onto the market over the course of the year. All entries are evaluated carefully based on their potential impact on drug development and manufacture.”

The Microcell Vial Filler was acknowledged for its focus on agility and sterility for cell & gene therapies and other personalized medicines. The Microcell was also credited for safe and rapid scale-out and providing a highly valuable impact on drug development today. This is the third award presented in 2018 to the Microcell Vial Filler, following the Pharma Manufacturing Innovation Award and the Interphex ‘Best in Show’ Award.

“The standard design can be built quickly, enabling companies to add more validated capacity in months, rather than years. Robotic automation and single-use product contact materials eliminate the risks of manual filling and cross-contamination, respectively. All of these aspects will contribute to the cost of goods for personalized therapies being significantly reduced.”
