Vanrx makes two gloveless robotic isolator systems for vial filling: the Microcell Vial Filler and the SA25 Aseptic Filling Workcell. Together, these function as a scalable vial filling system from drug development through commercialization.
The design of Vanrx vial filling machines removes the need for human intervention in the filling process. Therefore, the isolator can be completely closed and gloveless. A gloveless isolator reduces risk to the drug product, and robotics provide a highly repeatable filling and closing process.
Both the Microcell and SA25 can fill nested, pre-sterilized ISO vials from 2R to 50R. Changeover and decontamination between products can occur in as little as 15 minutes. For late stage clinical and commercial quantities, the SA25 can also fill nested syringes and cartridges.
Vial filling is performed by a peristaltic pump and single-use or multi-use filling assemblies. These ensure sterility and reduce downtime between batches. Vanrx Workcells use peristaltic pumps, and are accurate within ±0.5% between 1-100 mL and ±1.0% under 1 mL.
The Vanrx Microcell is designed for drug development (formulation, stability, toxicology, etc.) and early phase clinical trial production. The SA25 Aseptic Filling Workcell is designed for late phase clinical trial production and commercial drug products. Vanrx Workcells can fill a full range of 2R-50R nested vials. Many vial sizes require little or no change parts.
